College History
| 1990 | The Bay of Plenty College of Homeopathy (BOPCOH) was established with a faculty of 3 and a small number of students. | |
| 1998 | BOPCOH passed the rigorous requirements of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and became a Registered Private Training Establishment. | |
| 1999 | BOPCOH became the first educational institution in New Zealand to become accredited to provide Homeopathy to level 7 on the NZQA framework. | |
| 2000 | BOPCOH accreditation was extended to Core Health and the College was approved for student loans and allowances by the Ministry of Education. | |
| 2001 | BOPCOH’s Diploma of Homeopathy (Animal Health) became the first of its kind to be approved and accredited by NZQA. | |
| 2003 | Charles Sturt University of Australia recognised the NZ Diploma of Homeopathy as entry to the final year in its Bachelor of Health Science programme; BHSc (Comp.Med). | |
| 2006 | Since the mid 1990’s, BOPCOH has had a relationship with the Waiariki Institute of Technology (WIT) at Rotorua, NZ. In 2006 BOPCOH and WIT agreed to formally collaborate in the delivery of a Certificate of Homeopathy for students to access in Rotorua. The programme is approved by the Institutes of Technologies and Polytechnics of New Zealand (ITPNZ) Quality Panel and is equivalent to the first year College’s Diploma course. Students who successfully complete the WIT certificate may choose to continue their Homeopathy studies with BOPCOH or pursue studies in nursing or allied health.
